[Question] Is it safe to overclock a monitor? Consumer Goods Buying & Advices Jul 22 1 / 2 Jul 23 Jul 22 Kryptix65 Jul 22 Hello members, I have a Benq vz2350hm monitor and its running at 60Hz… i saw that there is a way to raise it up a little bit by overclocking it… is it safe to do it or something bad could happen to the screen? created Jul 22 last reply Tushar2 2 If it’s known to be OK because others have tested it heavily and know what the controller is actually capable of then yes, it’s fairly safe. However, just like other hardware not every monitor is the same. Take things slow. It will increase heat and if you start noticing any weird flickering or odd behavior, back off. Monitors can straight up die if you push them too far. Some can’t handle anything over stock without dropping resolution.
